Let’s try this again.
"I'm going to start a blog, and sometimes my posts will be all about squirrels, and they won't be funny, but I'm gonna do it anyway, dammit! Every week!" -Me, like a month ago
Well, here we go, time to dust off the old blog and pick myself back up even though I kind of hate myself for failing so quickly. But I can explain. Holidays and new jobs and lack-of-having-a-computer-at-home-for-a-little-while and time and adulting and pets and discovering Parenthood on Netflix and trying to remember what happened in Stranger Things 1 and stuff!
Ugh. Let's do this though.
Hi, my name is Natalie, and it's been approximately one and a half months since I last blogged. (Hi, Natalie.) Some life updates...
The Gators got a new coach.
I got a new job.
I got a new work laptop that has a touchscreen control bar with emojis on it!
I think I convinced my husband that we should get another chicken.
My dog went to the doctor for a lump - and it was benign! Yay!
I've felt guilty every Tuesday I haven't blogged.
And I felt extra guilty last Tuesday because I ate a lot of tacos.
I'm starting a really hard cleanse on January 2nd, and I'm nervous but also excited.
I literally did about ten loads of laundry (seriously, I'm not exaggerating) but went on a folding/hanging strike, so my clothes got all wrinkly and sad looking, so tonight, I went into superwoman mode and started folding and hanging the crap out of everything I could get my hands on, but then I lost interest, so there's clothing all over our living room now.
A lot of the clothing in our living room is actually maternity clothing that my sister gave me when we went to visit her cute little fam in Norfolk. I'm not pregnant, but she's tired of getting pregnant, so she doesn't need them anymore, and I might need them one day, so she gave them to me. They're super cute and comfortable, so I pretty much exclusively wear them now. Which is why it was so easy for me to go on that folding/hanging strike with my stupid, not-comfy non-maternity clothes.
We did this sad thing where we pretended Christmas didn't exist, and we didn't decorate or get a tree or anything, and I kind of like it.
Our Christmas gifts to each other are a trip to Cuba and Taylor Swift tickets, but I didn't actually contribute any money to either because my husband is really nice, and I have a bad shopping habit*.
One of my nieces turned one, and then she got baptized, and my husband and I are now officially her godparents! (At first, I typed "goldparents," and now I'm kind of bummed that's not a real thing.)
I started watching Parenthood last week, and I already finished season one. It's really good.
Stranger Things 2 was also good, but I kind of hope they stop there. (Don't @ me.)
Ok, cool. I think you're all caught up now. See you next Tuesday, except probably not because it's the day after Christmas. <3
